Collage Search

Part 1

  • I don't care how big the collage is.
  • I want to go to a collage that isn't that far from my home.
  • I don't care if it's urban or rural.
  • I would like to go into engineering.

Part 2
  1. Go to bigfuture.collegeboard.org and find three collages I like.
  2. Compare these collages on a chart.
  3. Look more about the collage that I picked.
  4. See what requirements to get into that collage.
  5. See what classes they have.
  6. See if they have FASA and scholarships.

2-week Activity Feb. 18, 2014

What have you learned about yourself and your preferences based on the two-week activity?

I learned that I'm still unsure about where to go for college. I'm thinking about going to an community college first, but I might just go to a 4-year college. I prefer to go to a cheap college. One that isn't in a urban city. I hate the big cities since it's easy to get lost. I can't decided whether to go to a public or private one. I learned that a private one can be cheap if I get a lot of scholarships. I will think it over. I still have many questions left unanswered. If I go to Muscatine Community College, what classes can I take that the credits will transfer over to Iowa University or Amens?

Upward Bound Jan. 28, 2014

The fundamental purpose of Upward Bound is to help students prepare to take the ACT or SAT and help get into collage.

I say there are a few reasons why UB isn't a club. UB is an organized organization created to help high schoolers. UB is in many different states and is associated by the US department of education. Its also a federal TRiO program. Those who are interested in going to collage can join. Last of all, before joining, students have to fill out a packet concerning family fiancee, yourself, and etc.
